I am always on the go, which is why I find photography so rewarding. It’s always changing and somewhat fast paced, plus it’s fun! I like helping people turn their ideas into art. Dichotomy, perhaps?
People always ask me what I photograph. I usually have to pause in answering, because quite frankly, I photograph everything and anything - kind of. I do not shoot weddings or events, but I have. Sometimes I photograph families and children. But, my three favorite subjects to shoot are: Pets/Horses, Real Estate, and Head Shots. Believe it or not there is a common thread and that is emotion, feeling, and purpose. I strive to capture a subjects essence and present it in a beautiful way.
I like a mixture of things and I enjoy the beauty of differences. I am classic yet eclectic. I love a simple white t-shirt, but I also love richly-dyed woven textiles. I am mesmerized by a slow sunset behind a worn barn, yet I am transfixed with marble and gold-ornate objects.

Decades of Experience
I have a dark history with photography. It started in the bathroom of our home and my brother's enlarger. Back then, it was part science, part math, and part art. The science has gone away - no more darkroom. Math doesn’t play a big part anymore - everything is automatic. But art is still here, and fortunately, it is here to stay.
Art should capture or evoke a feeling and that is what I strive for with my images. I love it when, for a split second, I capture a dog looking me straight in the eye - or when I get an unexpected burst of laughter from someone.
